Allenco Marine Limited may have only been around for a few years but its experience dates back over a quarter of a century. Harvey started his boat building apprenticeship with Alan Pepper of the then Matamata Engineering. Which was one of the first builders of heavy duty custom aluminium boats. Specialising in Aluminium Tri Hulls, Catamarans and Mono Hulls. In 2000 Alan Pepper retired giving Harvey and Melissa the opportunity to keep the business running as Allenco Aluminium Limited. This is where Harvey first met Martin and Karen Douglas when they approached him to build a boat for them back in 2001. During the building of their boat “Overdraft” Harvey and Martin got to know each other well. When Martin relocated his family to Matamata, Harvey offered Martin a job which eventually lead to them starting Allenco Marine. At the same time they moved from their Garland Street premises to the new building purpose-fitted for the job in Waihou Street. Where they have continued to produce a number of high quality custom built boats. Allenco Marine also specialises in one off builds for specific applications.

No we also build Catamaran and Tri Hull Boats.
How are your hulls measured?
The hull is measured from rear end of hull side plate to the front point where the actual side sheets start parallel to the keel not including bumper rails, hand rails, fair leads or other protrusions.

I started out as a sketch on some spotty designers note pad. Little did he know I would become the star I am today.... Ha Ha. So, I then evolved into a wonderful orange blobby thing that the Happy Home TV design people use in their commercials. What they did't anticipate is me becoming a free agent to do other work, so I also got work as a character on the Happy Home website and their brochure and heat sensor (although I am not fond of the way I pose on the heat sensor, I look a bit soppy).

Homekill
The quality of your meat is greatly effected by the method used to kill the animal. We only employ electro stunning methods so that we know the animal is relaxed when it is killed. Our purpose built vehicle takes your animal, offal and skin away to our Hamilton base. Once there the animal is prepared, hung and processed.

Our key aim in the killing process is your animals welfare. Some might say that it doesn't matter, but it does. If your animal is relaxed and peaceful at the time of killing its body is not filled with stress chemicals like adrenaline and potassium. These chemicals interfere with the natural aging process of the hung meat and as a result the meat from an unstunned animal is of noticeable poorer quality. Additionally the stunned animal feels absolutely no pain.

If you choose to you can bring your animals to our Hamilton base. Within the butchery we maintain the highest hygiene levels. When you visit us you will notice that there is no smell in or around the building. This is because we clean constantly, investing heavily in high pressure and food industry level cleaning system. Every part of our processing area is cleaned prior daily to maintain our exemplary quality level.

Our stock mustering area is also cleaned on a daily basis. Animals brought to Hamilton are 'batch killed' to ensure that they are processed within the same time scale. This means that you can be assured of consistent quality.

How much kayaking experience do I need?
You don’t need to be a highly experienced kayaker to enjoy the tours we offer. We only paddle on easy level water. We do however; prefer that you have had a little kayaking experience prior to joining the group.




Do I need to bring my own kayak?
No, we will provide you with a kayak and safety equipment. You will need to bring a warm jacket with you.




How do we get from place to place?
We provide transport from place to place with our vans. The cost of transport is all included in prices.




Do I need to bring camping gear?

A:A face peal will temporarily diminish fine lines on the face but is not a permanent cure for wrinkles. A face peel leaves the skin feeling fresh and looking more refined.

Q: How long does a spray tan last?

HISLAT ® High Speed Lighting Assessment Technology

Experience and repeatable tests have confirmed OEL can quickly complete useful desktop type illuminance analyses using basic database information (e.g. pole displacement, offset, bracket outreach, etc) and manufacturers illuminance data.

This method is an economical means of obtaining indicative illuminance values for the required streets and identifies critical areas. Results are verified in the field without having to survey the entire inventory. OEL have developed an automated system and computer programmes (HISLAT®) for this.
